Service Introduction (Service Scope)
1. Persons who are not exempted from "visa" or "pre-entry authorization" [Note: For details of statutory exemption from "visa" or "pre-entry authorization", in addition to "port visa" and "pre-entry permit", they can apply for a "visa" for the Macao Special Administrative Region in advance through Chinese embassies and consulates abroad or other overseas representative offices authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
2. With effect from 1 July 2010, visitors from the following six countries are required to apply for a valid Macao visa through the Chinese Embassies and Consulates abroad in advance, and are not allowed to apply for a Macao visa by way of entry and stay permit (commonly known as "port visa"), but officials of their embassies, consulates in China and representatives of international organizations in China and their family members can apply for a "port visa" at the Macao Immigration Station with their passports and the identity cards of diplomats, consular officers or administrative and technical personnel in China.
