According to the agreement between the two governments, holders of diplomatic and service passports are exempted from visa requirements for entry, exit or transit through the ROK. The relevant exit certificate shall be issued by the Foreign Affairs Office. If you need to stay in Korea for more than 30 days, you should go through the residence procedures in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations of Korea. Holders of official ordinary passports are required to apply for a visa. Holders of a General Passport (PE) can enter Jeju Island without a visa and stay in Jeju Island for 30 days. The relevant exit certificate shall be issued by the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office.
The Korean Consulate will issue an eVisa to applicants for official ordinary passports (PE) and issue an "Electronic Visa Grant Notice", which must be presented with the passport when entering South Korea. Before leaving the country, an exit certificate must be issued by the Foreign Affairs Office.
Applicants for official ordinary passports (PE) must download and print the e-Visa confirmation form from the official website of the Korea Visa Application Center (Shanghai Center) before their visit.

Select "Issuance Inquiry", then select "Embassies and Consulates Abroad", enter the passport number, English name on the passport, and date of birth. Select "Confirmation of issuance of e-Visa" to download and print.
