It not only ensures the high security of the e-passport, but also shows the national image.
Q: What are the precautions for applying for an e-passport?
A: 1) The conditions, time limits and fees for applying for an e-passport will remain the same as before. Citizens who originally held valid passports should continue to use, under any of the following circumstances, can apply for a replacement of electronic passports: ordinary passport visa page will be used up; The validity period of ordinary passport is less than six months, or the validity period is more than six months, but there is evidence that the validity period does not meet the requirements of the country of travel.
2) The process of applying for e-passport has increased the collection of information such as fingerprints and signatures of applicants. When citizens apply for an electronic passport, the applicant shall sign his name in person when the police accept the application for an electronic passport, and fill in the standard Chinese characters in principle. Ethnic minorities may use their own ethnic language to fill in, but should be consistent with the ethnic language name on their resident identity card. The signature should be written horizontally, and must be in the rectangular box specified in the Application Form for Entry-Exit Documents of Chinese Citizens. The distance between each word should not exceed half a word. Applicants who do not have the ability to sign, such as preschoolers, may not sign.
3) When citizens over 16 years of age apply for an electronic ordinary passport, the Exit and Entry Administration of the public security organ shall collect the fingerprint information of the applicant on the spot. If a citizen under the age of 16 applies for an electronic ordinary passport and the guardian agrees to provide the fingerprint information of the applicant, the Exit and Entry Administration of the public security organ may collect it on the spot. If the applicant is unable to hold his or her fingerprints due to missing or damaged fingerprints, the fingerprint information may not be collected. Among them, the applicant is unable to print fingerprints due to finger injury and the acceptance organ can not judge, need to submit a certificate issued by a secondary or above hospital, and after the recovery of finger injury to the acceptance institution to replace the passport, fingerprints. If the applicant is unable to collect fingerprint information due to finger conditions and other reasons, it will not affect the application of electronic ordinary passports and the entry and exit border inspection.
