The story spread in Shaolin Temple is: 1,500 years ago, the Dharma master faced the wall in Songshan Mountain for 9 years. After Dharma left, the Shaolin monks found an iron box in the cave, which contained two thin books in Sanskrit: the Yi Jin Sutra and the Washing Pulp Sutra. Later, a monk from India, Pandamitya, helped to translate the Yi Jin Sutra into Chinese, and the second patriarch of Dharma, Hui Ke, translated the Washing Pulp Sutra. We found that the two sutra were actually one, the Yi Jin Sutra was the external Sutra and the Washing Pulp Sutra was the internal Sutra.
