The NCCAOM examination certificate is the professional level certificate of American traditional Chinese medicine. To obtain the right to practice medicine in American traditional Chinese medicine, you must pass the NCCAOM examination and hold the NCCAOM examination certificate, apply to the health bureau and licensing administration of the state government where you are located, and register to practice medicine after obtaining the acupuncture and moxibustion license. There are generally three ways: 1 Regular TCM/acupuncture and moxibustion education in school. (Undergraduate graduates from regular Chinese medicine colleges and universities under the Ministry of Education of China and graduates from 30 Chinese medicine colleges and universities recognized by the National acupuncture and moxibustion and Traditional Chinese Medicine College Accreditation Committee of the United States can obtain examination qualifications according to this provision.) 2. Apprenticeship (apprenticeship). Led by a nationally recognized professor of traditional Chinese medicine, the total duration of theoretical and practical courses shall not be less than 3000 hours, with a total duration of at least 3 years and no more than 6 years. 3. After the abolition of the semi apprenticeship system in recent years, non full-time medical students can still apply for exam qualifications through the semi apprenticeship system.
