Harvard standards for brain death

(1) Non-receptivity and non-responsiveness to external stimuli and internal needs.

(2) Voluntary muscle movement and spontaneous breathing disappear.

(3) Induce loss of reflexes.

(4) Brain wave straight or equipotential.

Note: The assay must last for 24 hours, not less than 10 minutes each time, and the results of repeated repetitions are consistent, except for cases where the body temperature is < 32.2°C or the central nervous system depressant drugs such as barbiturates have just been taken.
