Etiology and clinical manifestations of genital warts

1. Etiology

Genital genital warts are squamous epithelial hyperplastic wart lesions caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. Its incidence is second only to gonorrhea. It is mainly related to low-risk human papillomavirus 6 and 11 infection; High-risk forms are associated with genital tract malignancy.

Risk factors: (1) premature sexual intercourse and multiple sexual partners; (2) low immunity; (3) smoking; (4) High sex hormone levels.

2. Clinical manifestations

(1) Vulvar itching, burning pain or pain and discomfort after sexual intercourse.

(2) Skin lesions, mostly occur in the vulvar area that is easily damaged during sexual intercourse.

1) Initially scattered or clustered small pink or white papillary warts, soft and thin finger-like protrusions.

2) After the lesions are enlarged, they fuse with each other, and are chicken comb-shaped, cauliflower-like or mulberry-shaped.

3. According to clinical manifestations and histopathological examination, hollowed out cells can be diagnosed.
