Xiamen University School of Medicine was established on October 11, 1996 and is the main carrier of medical teaching and scientific research, one of the backbone disciplines of Xiamen University. There are 1,023 faculty members (including clinical teachers), including 1,035 undergraduates, 902 master's students, 396 doctoral students, and 267 MBBS international students. In recent years, in the national medical college clinical medicine major (undergraduate) level test and the second ladder assessment of TCM physician post competency, the test scores of medical students are among the best in the country. ESI in clinical medicine is in the top 0.1-0.2% globally.
